Khavda (C) Limited Launches ‘Samvad’ – A Dedicated Toll-Free Hotline for Farmers in South Gujarat -PNN

Amadhara (Gujarat) [India], April 09: Reinforcing its commitment to community engagement and farmer welfare, Khavda IV C Power Transmission Limited has launched a dedicated toll-free hotline aimed at addressing farmers’ queries and concerns related to land and project-related matters across Surat, Navsari, and Valsad.

The initiative was formally launched at Amadhara Village, in the presence of local farmers, with women from the farming community leading the launch, symbolizing inclusivity, grassroots participation, and trust-building at the community level.

Under the Toll Free Hotline initiative, farmers can now directly seek assistance and clarification on a wide range of concerns, including land-related issues, usage of land for transmission work, compensation and fair valuation, as well as any other project-related queries or challenges. To ensure easy accessibility, a dedicated toll-free number 18003095501 has been introduced specifically for farmers in Surat, Navsari, and Valsad. The company has further assured that all grievances and queries received through this platform will be addressed within 48 working hours, reinforcing its commitment to timely, transparent, and farmer-centric resolution.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Kandarp Pandey, Project Head – Navsari & Valsad, said “This is more than just a helpline, it is a bridge of trust between us and the farming community. We understand that clarity and timely communication are crucial, especially for farmers. Through this initiative, we aim to provide accurate information, address concerns promptly, and ensure that every stakeholder feels heard and supported.”

Mr. Kumar Gaurav, Project Head, Khavda–Surat, stated, “The launch of this toll-free hotline marks an important step in strengthening trust and transparency with our project beneficiaries. Through this dedicated helpline, we aim to ensure that every concern related to land, compensation, and project activities is heard, addressed, and resolved promptly. Our commitment is to move forward with development while respecting livelihoods and building long-term relationships with stakeholders.”

Sharing his perspective, Sarpanch of Amadhara Village, Mr. Kaushik Bhai, appreciated the effort and said “This is a very good and one-of-its-kind initiative for our farmers. It will help them directly ask questions and get proper, reliable information without any confusion or misinformation. Such efforts truly make a difference at the grassroots level.”

Khavda IV C Power Transmission Limited is currently developing a 258-km, 765 kV double-circuit transmission line connecting South Olpad (GIS) to Boisar-II (GIS)—a critical infrastructure project that will significantly strengthen India’s national power grid.

The project plays a vital role in supporting the country’s ambitious target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030. Alongside this, the company continues to undertake meaningful community-focused initiatives, ensuring that development goes hand-in-hand with social responsibility and long-term rural impact.
