REVEALED: Telugu version of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava to release in India on March 7; Overseas fans must wait another week

The first blockbuster of 2024, Chhaava, is having an unstoppable run at the box office. The film had a huge opening and thanks to a great word of mouth, it started collecting more and more in areas outside Maharashtra. Last week, the makers of Chhaava, Maddock Films, announced that the Telugu version is ready and it’ll be released on March 7. However, those living outside India will have to wait a little more to catch the Telugu version of the Vicky Kaushal-starrer.Bollywood Hungama has learned that Chhaava in Telugu will be out this week in India with the majority of its shows concentrated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Telugu version will also have a release Overseas but it’ll happen only on March 14. The film has surprised one and all with its business in foreign territories. As a result, it remains to be seen if the Telugu dubbed version also manages to strike a chord with the Indian diaspora in foreign lands.In India, Chhaava will be distributed by GA2 Pictures, the prestigious distribution arm of Geetha Arts, a powerhouse in South Indian cinema. As per the official statement, “With a legacy of distributing over 300 blockbuster Telugu, Hindi, and English films, they are the perfect partner to ensure Chhaava reaches every corner of the Telugu-speaking audience.”Chhaava stars Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai. It is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films.The trailer of Chhaava’s Telugu version was unveiled today, that is, March 3. As of Sunday, March 2, it has collected Rs. 471.56 crores in India. The Overseas collections stand at Rs. 80.60 crores gross.
