Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal marked the beginning of Chhaava's Pan-India promotional tour with a spiritual visit to Shri Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The actor, known for his dedication to roles, sought divine blessings from Lord Shiva ahead of the much-anticipated film’s release on February 14.In a photo, Vicky Kaushal was seen performing a ritual at the revered shrine, dressed in a traditional dhoti and an orange stole draped over his shoulders. With folded hands and focused devotion, he made offerings at the sacred Shivling, surrounded by temple priests and devotees.Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, is a historical drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film is expected to be an intense portrayal of valour, patriotism, and sacrifice, with Vicky Kaushal in the titular role. With grand-scale promotions planned across India, the visit to Shri Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga sets the tone for the film’s journey leading up to its release. Vicky Kaushal Recalls Shooting Chhaava with Akshaye Khanna Before starting the tour, Vicky graced Bollywood Hungama’s Hangout, a fan meet-and-greet event. Speaking of his camaraderie with co-star Akhaye Khanna, who is playing the antagonist, Vicky said, “When we were shooting that scene, we exchanged no good mornings, goodbyes, or hellos. He was Aurangzeb, and I was Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and there was no communication as Vicky Kaushal to Akshaye Khanna.”He further added, “It took Aurangzeb nine years to find and get hold of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. So, a lot of the film shows his quest to find him.
