JSM Nagaland Celebrates Foundation Day and International Women’s Day

Dimapur, March 8: The People’s Struggle Federation, Jan Sangharsh Mahasangh (JSM) Nagaland successfully organized its inaugural ceremony along with the celebration of International Women’s Day at Europa Inn Hotel, Dimapur. The event was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, guests, and members from different communities, making it a vibrant and meaningful gathering.

The program aimed to celebrate the spirit of women’s empowerment while also formally introducing the State and District leadership of the organization. The event began with a warm welcome to the guests and participants, followed by discussions highlighting the importance of social unity, empowerment of women, and the role of social organizations in building a stronger society.

One of the main attractions of the event was the Fancy Dress Competition, which created a lively and colorful atmosphere in the auditorium. Participants showcased elegance, confidence, and cultural pride through their presentations. The competition was judged by Mrs. Shweta Singh and Mrs. Alpana Pal, who appreciated the enthusiasm and participation of all contestants.

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of the prestigious “Woman of the Year” Award to Dr. Dalia Bhattacharjee in recognition of her outstanding contributions and dedication to society. Her work and commitment were highly appreciated by the organizers and guests present at the event.

During the program, the newly appointed State and District team members of Jan Sangharsh Mahasangh Nagaland were also introduced. The State leadership includes State President Biswajit Banik, State Vice President Lipon Kar Purkayastha, and State Secretary Pooja Das Paul.

The District team consists of District President Aloka Debnath, District Secretary Rishuv Poddar, District Joint Secretary Moushami Sur, District Chairman Prafulla Saha, District In-charge Dr. Rinky Choudhury, and District Media In-charge Peu Paul. The District Executive Members include Sritakshi Saha, Payal Roy, Lubly Dutta, Chiranjit Saha, Debika Bhattacharjee, Sushmita Debnath Bhowmick, and Suvam Sur.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from members and supporters of the organization. The organizers expressed their commitment to expanding the activities of Jan Sangharsh Mahasangh in Nagaland and working collectively for social welfare, justice, and empowerment. The celebration concluded with a message of unity, service, and dedication toward building a better and more inclusive society.
